just recently I have been getting into colored pencils , I drew this from a reference photo . I am working out how to do the techniques , skin tone, etc. and this was practice . I always was a fan of Bettie Page since I saw some of the Olivia paintings .

I bought a set of soho pencils , not the most expensive , but a huge step up from what I was using , and I have been studying how to use them in books and on line . I drew this from a picture and then scanned it in , i changed the pencils to a yellowish brown and printed it out on watercolor paper . I changed some details when i colored it - that"s why you can see yellow in the background behind her . It was intended to be for practice , but it came out kinda cool so I decided to post it
