FRECKLES

Pastel pencils and acrylic paint combo - to make the freckles I simply dabbed a squared-off brush in some thinned out sienna and sepia and flicked it onto the "skin" and then cleaned up the over-splatter digitally once the portrait was uploaded.

You are really good at painting and people. I really like her lashes and her neck in particular.

Thanks. I've been doing art since I was a little kid with dinosaurs being a specialtyBig Smile With portraits I use a bit of overhead projection in the very beginning to make sure everything is where it should be and the portrait will look like the person it is supposed to....this I learned early on as a pro. It helps knock down the time it would take and gets your work to the publisher quicker. Once the work is "finished" I upload it into the computer and use digital brushes for a "clean-up" and push the contrast a bit which increases the color. Then, WHOOSH, it's off to the publisher via email. If the art is for someone to hang on their wall, obviously computer work is out of the question and everything has to be on the board or canvas....more work, but I charge more. It allllllll works out in the end. Smile
