Bird Figurine Sale

This took me longer than it needed because of procrastination, but a baker's dozen bird refs later, it is done! I'm currently open for commissions, but only for figurines, which will be a few inches tall, made of clay, and low fired in an electric kiln. They will look like this:  Art thumbnail    Art thumbnail  I would have offered raku fired pieces for a couple, since they would be pretty cool, but it looks like I won't be allowed to fire extra raku pieces... Oh well. They cost 7 US dollars plus shipping and handling, since I would feel cheap taking money to make a tangible piece of art and then only giving the person who made it a couple photos, so if you buy one, once it's finally done, it goes straight to you! I would think this would be a common practice with physical art, but I'm not really a part of the ceramics community, so I have no idea.

I put most of the available options in the actual image, but a small one that applies to all of them is that you can request for me to put a simple symbol/insignia on it's chest (you have to provide a reference, and I hold the right to say what's too complicated) No extra charge will be added for this.
Additionally, if there's a bird you'd like that is not on here, I may still be willing to make one for you! It's patterning would have to be simpler because I don't want to spend upwards to an hour layering dots all over a small thing. For example: sparrows are a no, they're covered in varying shades of brown, but flat colored birds like crows are fine, and so are birds with only a little patterning, like mourning doves and magpies.
Anyways, this offer is limited to this semester, since that's when I have access to the proper utilities to work with clay, so please, if you want one, don't wait too long- the last day to order is the 3rd of May. And if you don't have the money to get one yourself, or if birds aren't your thing, please spread the word to those you think would be interested! I really want to try my hands at doing something like this, even if I don't have all too many watchers. If you read up to this point, thank you!
Art belongs to me, don't steal.
*all shipping will be done from a proxy location, the return address will not be mine

I'll keep it in mind, but whether I wind up ordering one is likely to depend on what shape my finances are in by the 3rd of May. It looks like a cool project, though. Smile

Thanks! I really wanted to work on my birds, and since I have a window of opportunity, I figured I'd go for it. So far, I haven't found any buyers, but I have a few months to wait. I'm making a few birds while I wait so after that deadline, I'll still be able to sell some to people who can't make the deadline, so maybe that'll help Wink
