      I'm glad it comes off as fluffy....lol....I concentrated on the hard detail of the pup's face and then sort of faded out the detail the further I went from the face with broad strokes...Peanut is a real dog and he is a big ball of orange and white fur....I had to paint him. LOL

        I think long strokes work fine for thick fur. Smile

    You did really well on that tongue, it clearly is resting on the bottom canines, and the fur around it's smile is well painted Smile

      I studied the phot intensely and concentrated on the face to give it the most detail, then faded out the detail from there into broader, more sketchy strokes with a broader brush. The eye of the viewer naturally goes to the part with the tightest work....the face. (See....I didn't sleep through ALL of my art classes...LOL
