This was the first coding assignment I ever had. It was to create a bird using CSS shapes. I'm hoping to take the same lesson and be able to create more animals in the future. Thanks!
I think my instructor wanted us to see how else we could create things just using HTML and CSS. As far as using shapes, we would just edit in CSS the circles, squares, triangles, etc. to fit whatever we were trying to create. So for example, we would edit like position and the border-radius for a decent curve. Things like that.

I think it's strange to have a coding assignment to use css to build shapes but perhaps I'm not understanding the purpose of the lesson.
css is really difficult for that sort of thing so kudos for figuring this out.
