Masked Dryad

Watercolor, what to do with nubs of color left in my palette which I didn't want to waste.

    I like the combination of browns and greens in this. Especially the olive green tones

    I would say those nubs certainly were not wasted, I like the boldness of the greens in this, especially in contrast to the brown strokes. The mask is very different, it looks almost like some performance or ritual piece, not what one would expect from something wild and nature based like a dryad, which makes for an interesting statement, maybe of the presence of things in the ones you would not suspect?

      ..I wasn't so much trying for a statement, as the idea flashed in my head and seemed worth pursuing? But it does make a good deal of sense that could contribute to their characterization, should I want to expand on them in the future.
