A birthday  gift for SekoiyaStoryteller from Da of her character Scald. He's a part of her comic Accidental Elemental (this version of him being from the reboot),  which is still in the first chapter but is still a good comic, I'd recommend it to anyone who likes fantasy, dragons, or just really pretty art!

Scald belongs to Sekoiya, art belongs to me.

Pretty! Great job conveying a vigilant expression, and I like the stylized way you drew the fire on the torch.

He's pretty serious, so I wanted to show that, as well as Sekoiya's interesting wing hands. I honestly have no idea what I'm doing with flame, I'm glad this turned out alright :') Flame is an area I want to improve on greatly. Thanks!

Scald is pretty serious, so I wanted to show that, as well as Sekoiya's design for dragon wing hands. I honestly have no idea what I'm doing with flame, I'm glad it came out alright :') Thanks!

I like the shading on his wing/arm bones, and the brightness of his eyes in the dark.

The wing arms are a fun aspect to Sekoiya's dragons, I wanted to make sure I showed that well. Yellow eyes show up pretty well in yellow light, thanks! The piece was fun to make.

This is dramatic. I like it! One thing that can help is to look at photo reference of how people are lit when holding a torch.

I like your color choices and the design of the dragon.

I suppose it did turn out that way, I initially just wanted to show off those hands! Though dramatic fits his character. References would be a great idea, I'll try that next time.

He is a nice dragon, though the design belongs to SekoiyaStoryeller from DA. Smile
