(Dec 2013)

Just something fun to celebrate the semester being out and my time being my own again. I did have some idea in my head of the link between dragons=fire=desert and pegasus=horses=poseidon=sea, and so using the different creatures as guardians of the parts of a mapped terriority, but not sure if I meant to seriously go anywhere with it.

That's an interesting concept- a lot of cultures irl have venerated animals for their strength and saw them as guardian spirits or something akin, it would be a neat percpective to see what animals people would choose to be such in a world where fantasy creatures like these two actually live and breathe. Would slaying a pegasus be a capital crime? Would shards of dragon eggshell be tokens of good luck?

Pondering aside, beautiful piece. The detail to the metal is both distinctly recognizable for its material and individual to each half while still sharing commonalities.

I'm glad the metal came out looking nice and metallic. ^_^ And those are good thoughts, on the question of how the culture interacts with them... I may need to think this through some more mayn't I.
