Orange Skull

Posted Feb 18, 2018, 3:45:35 AM
Yesterday, I made this with Crayola's watercolor set and used too much orange and brown. Especially orange.   I need to practice with watercolors. I just keep messing it with my painting and this painted with copy paper (more thinner than printer papers).

    Everybody's got to start somewhere!
...Maybe the skull was smeared with clay, or in dim firelight?

      No, it's watercolor mistake.

...Have you heard the terms Watsonian and Doylist before? Like - when you're looking at how things happen in stories, you can look at "why did the writer do the thing," or you can look at it as "why did the characters do the thing." What I'm shooting at is... I know it was a watercolor mistake, you were very clear you weren't happy with how it came out. But from the point of view of what kind of things could have happened in the picture that would have made it make sense, it still looks kind of cool?
