Luuri and Miki (Repost)

Another repost from dA. A reference sheet for my main Dracostryx duo.

Here's some bits of history on these two;
Luuri's father, former chieftain of their tribe, was killed in a freak accident by Miki's sire, a massive pure white tyto stryx known only to her people as the White Storm.
Luuri, in a fit of rage, avenges her father by killing the stryx, who she later discovers was mate-less and desperately protecting his remaining hatchling (Miki). 

Guilty, she spares Miki and secretly (as with their tribe's custom it's taboo to associate with wild stryx that have killed a human) nurtures her until she was big enough to fly.
Shortly after forcing Miki to leave the nest, Luuri's tribe is attacked by a vicious band of raptor raiders and they struggle to defend themselves. As Luuri is about to be killed, Miki swoops in from out of nowhere to save her.
After successfully deterring the raiders, her tribe recognizes Miki's startling resemblance to the White Storm and Luuri is forced to reveal what she had been doing, so the current chieftain chooses to banish both of them.

Now they roam the outskirts of the tribe's territory, with Luuri continuing to keep watch over her father's people from afar, but to what end?
