Framing the piece with their tails is a neat idea, your background work is lovely! You caught the sense of distance well, in addition to the sheer warmth of the light. The way restricting the bg to that spot effects the piece is really interesting, it tells you where they are but it retains a great deal of focus on the characters.

  Thank you! Being my sonas, August and Agate represent me actually working on the world most of my stories take place in. I thought it would be nice to offer a glimpse into that world
