Lux

Heyyyy, time to delve into some original world crap that's been on my mind. Say hello to Lux! He's a ??? born from a Regular Human, and an extra-dimensional immortal being who had to be filtered through a 3D body. It was weird. Anywho! He hatched from an egg (for some reason?) and surprised both of his dads, because neither of them expected an egg baby. Though, it shouldn't have been too much of a surprise after the revival of wild and untamed magic that they brought to their world.

Naturally, or unnaturally, if you prefer, Lux has a lot of weird quirks that he, nor his father's, understand what to do or how to deal with it. All his life he's seen great powerful flying beasts and has wanted one of his own. And when he set out to live on his own, his magic papa had a surprise for him. He'd bought him a flying beast at an auction, that he'd taken a shine to, and everything his son would need, to start on his quest to travel the world/be a hero/whatever he thought he was going to do.

As his son eagerly made his way to the bazaar (ignoring all the glares and sideways stares of strangers), purchase ticket in hand, passing stalls and numbers of all the majestic, fearsome, powerful flying beasts, he came to the stall, which was marked on his ticket, and gawked. His heart sank as he looked upon, rather pathetically, a soil colored bird, which was missing half it's feathers, and looked at him warily. He stood in disbelief. Surely his father hadn't given him the right number, or-or, this wasn't the bird he bought. She was a hefty size, but wasn't as... impressive as he'd wanted.

The man who was working the stalls came up to Lux, explaining this fine bird had already been sold early that morning, thinking this... person was just a gawker or beggar. Lux held out his ticket to the man, looking as if he'd been cheated. The man hummed, clicking his tongue against his teeth and said, "Congrats! She's all yers."

With that Lux went numb, the new home he'd managed to get had a 'coop', a delivery and receiving dock, something like a barn and garage all in one. He was hoping for a beast that he could brag about, not this sorry... thing. He delivered her, to his disdain, his home. Ignoring, or just plain not hearing the man when he was telling Lux that it was important to bond with the bird and earn her trust so she thrives in his care. But he didn't listen he just took her to her new coop and stomped away upstairs to sulk.

Though, later that night, when he heard soft, sad cooing, he walked down in his PJ's to see her sadly shaking in her nest, her beak tucked under her wing. Gently crawling into her nest with her, he stroked her beak, and sat with her the rest of the night.

They weren't so different.
