It will be OK

"...As the pup crashes into you, you drop your bag and hold the pup tight. “It will be ok.”  You try to soothe the terrified pup. He settles into a sobbing wreck. “What happened?” With all of his sobbing and stammering, the only words you can make out are ‘dark monster’.  You decide to help the little guy back to his parents before heading home yourself."

You did great work detailing the coral here, you gave a good sense of scale and liveliness to it without it becoming visually too cluttered. The wildlife present here is added well also, they feel like animals casually doing their own thing and feel natural being present in the composition. It would have been nice to see schools of small fish, maybe farther in the background, to really immerse the viewers into the ecosystem, but what you did with it as it is is still nice.

The design of the dragon here is lovely, I like the coloration of it- the olive green fading to white isn't excessively vibrant, so it adds a mellowness of a sorts to it while still being ornate. The burnt orange spots and black stripes work with the main color well to that effect, the contrast and execution of them gives a regal feel to the older dragon.
