Foggy forest

The foliage certainly does look nice, great work! I can see what you mean about the stryx having vulture like qualities, but I think a good deal of that is the posture- that pose is a *very* vulture like one! While other birds may also do something similar, the hunched back rising above the head like so is strongly reminiscent of the physique of a vulture. I think the silky feathers at their collar are only a contributing factor to the matter of the posture, so I wouldn't put blame on yourself where it isn't due. Vulture related stuff aside, the effect of this is wonderful, the stryx feels capable and majestic.
