Reptile Fatality

This, ladies and gentleman, was my very first pose I have done without using a reference to go off of. I saw this particular pose of Reptile before and drew it from memory. So there are a few things here and there that could use some work, but overall, it is not too shabby for my first drawing from memory, eh? :)
As most of you know, I have been on a Mortal Kombat kick lately and what better way to end it than with a drawing of my most favorite Mortal Kombat character of all time? Reptile!!! I love Reptile. There is just something about him that makes me love him. Maybe it is the way he spits deadly acid on his opponents and melts them. Or perhaps it could be the fact that he can chop his victim's heads off with that tongue of his. He totally rocks! :yes: He is the greatest! He stays crunchy even in milk!!!
I already know what could use some work on this as far as the pose goes. For instance, his legs aren't quite far enough apart for his stance, nor are his knees bent quite enough, making him look a bit off-balance, but hell... it was my first shot at drawing from memory, so I am not too worried about it. I'll do better on my next one. Oh and the coloring of the Mortal Kombat medallion/logo thingy behind him could have turned out better, but that is totally the fault of my markers :yes: and so totally not me. :no: Yup... When all else fails, blame it on the markers. :innocent: I hope you guys like him anyway. Enjoy my little tribute to one of the greatest MK characters of all time who really doesn't get enough publicity. Poor Reptile. :( All my love. ^_^

WOOOOOOOOOOTT!!!!! He rocks!!!!!! I love that you still have him holding his mask!! Now I feel the need to watch the movie *digs through old VHS tapes* Its here somewhere I knows it, LOL. I think the MK dragon looks good so you can tell your markers they did a good job *Big Hug* Lots of LOVE 2 YOU!!!!

  Thank you so much sweetie. I LOVE reptile. *glomps Reptile* He has always been my most favorite character. Y0u know what? Now I have the urge to watch those movies again. And thank you for the approval of the background. Whew! I was so worried about how others were going to perceive it. I think my mind can rest a bit more easy now. I will tell my markers that they did a pretty good job. And I simply HAD to do this pose. I have a couple of other poses of him that are inked but not colored yet of just him looking hot with his mask on. But I thought I should do this one for now because this is right before he does one of his "fatality" moves. He is so awesome. Thanks again sweetie. Do you have anything planned for tonight? I am probably going to have a party at my house (my mom is watching my kiddos) and I am going to have lots and lots of alcohol and get smashed. Umm... sorry kiddos... what I meant was I am going to sit at home and have a nice quiet time at my house reading a book. Pfft! Yeah right! All my love. Mwah!

  LOL, my niebhor (spelling?) is having a kid freindly party tonite that we're invited to. I don't get to get smashed until I go home and have tons of people that I have no problems taking advantage of to watch my heathens, LOL. I am one of the cursed who get a hangover no matter how little or much I drink so I have to have someone who can keep the little demons over night and most the next day The cool thing is we gets fireworks for new years down here and not in Ohio so that will be SWEET!!

  Psst! Want to know a secret? I STILL say "nifty." That just goes to show that good things never die. Thank you for the awesome compliments hun. This guy is my most favorite Mortal Kombat character of them all. He takes off his "human-face mask" and reveals his true face to his opponents right before he performs his "fatality" moves on them. Really awesome job on this! You did great with the coloring and I think the background looks perfectly fine

  Thank you so much hun. ^_^ And that eases my worry that you think the background turned out okay. I was pretty worried about that. But now I feel better about it. Anyway, I am pretty happy with how he turned out. His stance could use some work, but I will make sure to learn from it and do better the next time. Those damn karate stances are quite difficult for me to get exactly right. But I will keep trying until I get them perfect. Thank you so very much again for your sweet words and encouragement. And this pose with him taking his mask off is right before he does his "fatality" moves on his opponents. it is the most wonderful part. ^^ Especially when he spits acid on his opponents and melts them.   Why thank you Chas. Reptile is my absolute favorite character from Mortal Kombat and I just HAD to do a fanart of him. I was going to put him on that one I drew of Liu Kang, Kano, Rayden, Sub-zero, and Scorpion, but then I decided that he needed a page all to himself because of how great he is. I love the background! I love mortal combat....the only thing I see is HIS left arm....is kinda werid inked but it looks awesome! nice job!

  Awk! You're right. Did I just say "Awk!"? What in the hell is Awk? Ah well. Anyway, it is that one damn line for his muscle in the middle of his arm that is the eye-sore huh? I'll have to fix that. I didn't know you were a MK fan as well. Awesome! Thayne and I are completely obsessed with the game, the movies, everything that has to do with Mortal Kombat. And I hate to admit that he totally kicks my a*s when we play against each other. Can you believe that? I get beaten by a 9 year old. >_< But anyway, I am glad you like this one. I also did one of Baraka for Thayne. And then one of some of the other guys that have become my faves throughout the history of the game. Thank you for the comments sweetie. All my love. ^_^
