It takes strong muscles and a sturdy heart to be able to fly and/or carry a rider. By now, your Stryx is finally old enough and large enough to take on this task. Draw your Stryx learning to fly alongside someone else's Stryx, or being ridden. For Runner types, you may draw them pulling something heavy across the ground with their jaws, or hitched up with a harness, pulling a rider, sled, or other heavy weight.
The next valley roars with swift water of a dangerous river. Despite Stinky's preference for walking through these treacherous lands, the bird insists on flying him over this one. After they land, it takes hours for Stinky to reorient himself, and he grumbles and growls about it the whole time. She doesn't feel an ounce of guilt though. Better turned around for a day than swept away.
