Temperatures are dropping as the year comes to a close in Wyvera, and there’s still work to be done before folks can start decorating for Festival of Frost. Palisades- protective spiked walls around the perimeter of a settlement- are still being erected per Maja’s suggestion. The dense foliage that could have provided cover for approaching enemies is greatly reduced. But something strange has started happening around the settlements who’ve built their walls. Lumberjacks and other woodsfolk who’ve gone out to harvest the trees are now returning with whispers on their lips of strange creatures and happenings. Most mornings when the wood workers arrive at their worksites, logs are missing and weird tracks in the mud lead deeper in the forest. There was even that accident last week, where a lumberjack died and rumors claimed it had been gruesome. Suddenly, Maja’s warnings have a new significance. Could this be related to the wraith, or perhaps worse? With these fresh concerns everyone, including you, is eager to finish securing their towns and villages, and to be safe in their homes before the sun sets each day.
