The Forest Graveyard

 Rohan feel rage building up inside him. They finally did it, the bastards finally had the chance to get inside the forest and ruin something. For a moment he understood what Karma feel all those years with people going in and out doing what they wanted. 

 The poachers finally had the time to get it, destroy part of the Blood Woods and turn it into a graveyard.

 Usually they are not a big deal and wont do much of a damage, but with everyone too busy with the crazy corrupted wisps around, they had the opportunity and time to ruin things.

 

 All that descruction for a blood ruby.

 

 Mainly used for alchemy, blood rubys are the ''waste'' of forest or woods where spirits lives, usually kodamas. Their presence make the magic around them crystallize in form of rubys with such intense red color, they are once called ''blood of the forest''. When people find out a place has kodamas they will put large boulders around the woods and protect the forest no matter what.

 People do uses boulders, because otherwise the crystals will be formed in the leaves and if old enough even inside the trunks! And if the forest has kodamas, damaging the trees will make them angry and furious wich can cause some serious trouble to anyone living nearby.

 

 Probaly after taking all the rubys(and the boulders too!) the leaves of the trees(wich stay green even in winter because of the kodamas) turned red and died due to the suddlen lack of magic, wich, because of how stupid they are, thought they are blood rubys too and cut down some trees to get all the leaves they wanted.

 

 Too late for Kate to heal the trees the only option was to cut down everything into smaller parts (to speed up the decomposition) and transport any log with a Kodama back to the Old Nest, where Kate could calm down and give a new home to any angry or sad Kodama.

 While Rohan and the other stryx cut down the larger logs, O'Clock would wander around looking for the Kodamas and marking the safe logs to be cut. Doing any further damage to a Home Tree would just make them too furious to even be calmed down. It was Yue job to carry the log with the Kodama (and sometimes O'Clock) back to the Old Den:

 -Here a home. O'Clock said looking inside a log with a hole

 -Oh at least a small one... Yue bite the log,taking care to not crush it and doing any more damage. Feeling something messing again with its home the Kodama hissed inside the hole, futile since only one creature could hear it. With the hissed warning ignored the Kodama sprout out the hole with sharp teeth and a murdering glare towards Yue. O'Clock sensed the Kodama and landed between it and Yue:

 -No.We are working with the fox dryad. New home. O'Clock stared at the spirit wich stunned it.The Kodama was shocked, a non-plant creature could see it? And its working with the fox dryad?! The Kodama could sense Kate magic around the stryxs and the little sentient creature besides them.

 -Ah..found an angry one? For Rohan O'Clock was just staring the log.

 -Yes. O'Clock said while he turned his head upside down.

 -Okay, I will take a break anyway, I dont want invisible things chewing me.

 -I cant wait for it to be done...Kate will give me good food for it...Yue said with a muffle voice. Givving a better bite on the log, she took off, carrying log, O'Clock and the Kodama like it was just a branch. 

 Rohan had to admire how powerfull gryphs are. Even a lazy and glutton one.
