My efforts towards a faster style I could use for comics was not taking me anywhere, so I decided to change directions and try out an art meme to force myself outside of my usual habits. It's that one where you draw a character in your style, followed by X amount of iterations in different styles from popular media or other artists- while its a little art meme, it's also a fun kind of art study, if you really examine the styles you pick. Kamon is the main dragon I'm drawing at the moment, so I decided that I'd use him to see how the other styles look, while also taking another chance to play with his design. His stripes are a bit bolder and less haphazaed, and more importantly, I changed the colors his irridescent sheen have. The previous sheen would blend into the pale color of his faces, rendering his spots impercievable, pretty much, and it negatively impacted pieces doing that. These ones prevent that, give the green more cool tones, and are visually more interesting (to me at least).
Anyways, about the meme, this is the "My style" portion of it, given a quick backdrop so it'll be presentable on its own (I think the contrast is a bit high on the backdrop, but it would be difficult to change it now because I've added more for the meme). All the other styles will follow this pose, since I want to spend more time on the style and not the posing.
Art and Kamon belong to me, and are for my sole use.
