Gumshi Homes

Finally got around to doing concept art for the buildings of the village my story is set in! It says homes here, but the smaller a settlement, the less specialized building tend to be, so most businesses operate out of homes, from stalls, or are serviced at the target location, so these make the majority of the village. Gumshi is located right next to a lake, and the area is semi-tropical, therefore monsoon season happens annually, and flooding is a concern. The natives all have gills, but floods can destroy things from the force of water, rot wood that homes are built from, or destroy perishable possessions, so they do take efforts to keep it out of the buildings. The main portion of the structures are elevated, but so is the land that they are built upon, which isn't shown here. This is a fairly simplified version, I still have to figure out proper proportions and whatnot.
