Perpetual Thought...

This is a gift for my dear Increase Blue. She has drawn me many many many many many many many beautiful drawings and I thought it was about time I return the favor. And this was my very first time drawing Edward Elric, so go easy on me guys. Oh and looky Robin... I am trying to get my lineart more soft. Thank you Arkillian for teaching me those tricks. I think the only thing that could have turned out better on this is the metal arm of his. But I tried. I hope you like it IB! ALl my love to you guys. ^_^

  Hey that is actually an idea that has been running through my head. I was thinking of doing one of Roy Mustang, Ed, Scar, Envy (Damn he's hot), and the Crimson Alchemist. Oh what was his name?   Thank you sweetheart. I really appreciate that. I am so glad that my progress is showing through. And I think he did turn out pretty good for my first time drawing him. And I am getting "there" slowly but surely on my paint shop. I don't know where "there" is, but I hope to reach it soon. This is great! you did a fantastic job for your first time drawing Ed Elric! If you don't like the way his automail arm turned out, don't worry about, I'm sure you'll get alot better after some pratice. But this was a great pic!

  Okay, seriously... I am soooo adopting you. You always make me feel so happy. Anyways, believe it or not, alot of my art is done by trial and error. If I can't get something to look right, I will go over it a million times until it looks halfway decent. And yes, I do drive myself crazy from that. I always love and appreciate your comments hun. They grow up so fast, don't they? *sniffle* Oh and on Tuesday, I am getting a tattoo on my back. Okay, so I already have one on my lower back, but this one is going to be alot bigger and better. I have a drawing of it posted somewhere in my gallery. It is a dragon and I am going to have it start about the middle of my back and wind up my back to where the head lands on my right shoulder blade. It is going to be so cool. I am so excited.   Well, I don't have photoshop either, but I want to get it. I am using Corel Painter IX right now and I love it. But I will give you their link that gives you a free 30 day trial of it.

  Unfortunately I think that is how it is supposed to look. At least that is how it looked in the reference pic I was using. But I think the whole ar is the worst on this one. Yes, darling, your lineart is much much softer now. This is swonderful, and the soft glow he puts off is a great effect. I think the metal arm looks fine, except that perhaps it's too flat to the skin? I would think an appendage like that would pop out a pinch above the skin line.

  Ah I see what you mean. I think I should have put a bit of shading around it and that will make it more 3 dimensional. But I finally am learning all of the tricks of the trade as far as the digital art goes. I even found out that I can change the opacity of the brushes too. So that is working to my advantage as well. Anyways, I am glad that you like him. This was my first time ever drawing him. And I think he came out pretty okay. Thank you for always helping me my dahling. I rub you muchly.

  Yes, brush and layer opacity changes make a big difference. It's easier to get just what you like. My tablet has pressure sensitivity! Yay!
