Gourds- Twisted Turtle Dream Catchers

This is what I have been doing all week, cutting and stringing gourds with dream catchers. Adding beads, charms and painting the inside to sort of resemble a geode. These are just 5 out of the 9. I plan on painting some with wildlife maybe next week... But always looking for new ideas. Thoughts anyone? With the gourds I really try to stay away from making them bird houses because everyone makes those out of them.

These are just amazing and so pretty. I love the colours and the textures.
If you are looking for some ideas, maybe make some pot plants? or fairy houses?
I would love to see more of them at some point.

  Thank you so much for the kind comment. I really try to stay away from "bird houses" when working with gourds. The sparkly space behind the dream catchers is in a way inspired by some of the Native American stories I have been told. Like some of the creation stories. Involving "sky people". Otherwise it adds interest then just a "bare" colorless space.
