Zarbon Oh-So-Suave

Posted Feb 18, 2006, 5:18:19 AM

Been awhile since my last picture, but that's because I wanted to wait till I had completed more, which, sadly, I have not *sigh* I need an actual art desk to work at so badly..but anyways..

I decided to do another Zarbon picture as I seem to like his sheek and sleek feel to him for some odd reason lol..I wanted him to have a more down-to-earth look, having him in a sweater with a cocky smile on his face XD. The hair I admit, looks like a cactus, because I was doing a trial of hair, making it look more real than simply drawing >coloring>done..making strands show..but bah lol..The pink sweater idea, came from my seeing Zarbon in the old DBZ series, where he wore pink armbands..so I thought..if he's wearing PINK armbands..he should look just as fine in a pink sweater lol XD. I feel I should have done his one eye bigger than it is..I had messed up badly on coloring the center of that one eye..so I massively inked it in with black ink..which..surprisingly..actualy turned out looking quite nice/right. Aside from all that, I think he turned out quite nicely ^_^

Materials used:

Prisma colored pencils, ball point ink pen, 0.5mm mechanical pencil.

I like his expression but I think his skin color is waaaaay too dark. You could fix that in a snap with photoshop if you have it. just select the skin area with the laso tool or magic want and then go to Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation and slide the lightness bar to lighter. presto chango
