Emotional Roller Coaster

Well guys, I have been working on this while I have been ill. And finally I have felt good enough to get it colored. I put together a collaboration of some of my favorite images of Shinji Ikari from Neon Genesis Evangelion. (Brethesen is responsible for getting me hooked on that anime. ;) ) But Shinji is so easy to fall in love with though he always is going through some kind of emotional torment. I also found a few images of him smiling, but I thought showing off his melancholy side worked better. One of these days I will do something really neat in the form of a background. But for now, I hope you guys enjoy this one anyway. All my love. :)

The pic is absolutely kawaii!!! You know he's my fav anime guy right next to Keitaro from Love Hina, so two up, way up towards the sky!! And a too!

And I will see what I can do about maybe making a pic of Keitaro and Shinji together. That would be cool huh? No, not together in that way silly. That would just be wrong. I love you hun. I haven't seen the anime but I have a video of NGE and he does seem very moody, I think that's what makes anime so different. Needless to say I fell inlove with it after seeing that video, I hope one day to watch the whole thing. I could rant for hours about this.
You did a great job on portraying the range of his emotions. Really really well done my dear! And I just love the way you managed with all the details of his costume. He's really beautiful and I don't think anyone could not to love him. Awesome! This will be a new fav!

  I am so filled with love for you right now Maria. You always say the greatest things to me. ^_^ I really hope that you do get to see the anime sometime. It is wonderful and definitely my most favorite aside from Inuyasha. Brethesen got me hooked on it. I believe he even just wrote a poem about the show. That's how much he is obsessed with it. Shinji is definitely my most favorite character in the show simply because he has such a hard time facing his "demons." I have always loved the more "complex" characters. I think I may do another one but of him smiling. We don't get to see Shinji smile too much, so it might be a nice change. Thank you so much for your wonderful and warm compliments my dear.   Well I'd love to see Shinji smiling.^^ I sure haven't seen enough Evangelion fanart and it really is awesome. I hope there will be more. I see Joni really loves it. And I must agree, complex characters are really alot more interesting. *nods* Actually I started to download some of the anime but it'll take some time to complete. Anyways, I am actually working on the one of Shinji smiling as we speak. Well, it is a compilation of Shinji and Keitaro from Love Hina. It is kind of a surprise for Joni, so Shhh! Those are his 2 most favorite anime characters, so I thought it would be neat to have them both on the same page. So I have the lineart done, I just have to color it now. That is going to take the most time. Man I am lazy. >_< Hopefully I'll have it done in the next day or two. *crosses fingers* All my love to you sweetheart. Mwah!

  Aww, you say the sweetest things to me. And I will cherish your heart forever and ever. Anyways, Shinji is really easy to fall in love with. This poor kid was abandoned by his father at a very young age (his mother died) and when he turned 14, his father sent for him so that Shinji could pilot a huge robot known as an Eva to rid the world of evil monstrous demons known simply as Angels. Every time Shinji climbs into the Eva, he puts his life on the line. And he does it to gain the love and respect of his cold-hearted father. All he wants is his father's approval. Sad huh? So throughout the whole series, we get to witness Shinji's emotional hell and it makes you just want to grab him and hug him. But anyways, thank you so so much for your compliments sweetheart. You are always so terribly kind and loving to me. And I am LOVING coloring my art in my paint shop. It is time consuming, but my goodness the results are beautiful. And I am feeling so much better now though I have an appointment with my doctor later this week to discuss my surgery. I will be so happy when I can be completely better. Thank you so much for asking about me. You are the greatest. *hugs* All my love to you.

  Why thank you my Kichi dear. I think he turned out pretty good except for the hair. No matter how much I tried to fix it, I just couldn't get it to look right. >_< But I think it looks pretty good. I love Shinji. Thanks again sweetheart.*hugs*

But the way I figure, if the image alone has enough detail then a really elaborate background would probably drown it out. Okay, well now I am just making excuses for my laziness. Oh yay! I love this show I've seen the whole series and I wish it never ended but *sigh* everything has to come to an end right?? But you did a great job on Shinji he's one of my favorite characters from Evangelion along with Rei. You're right he is completely lovable but has some little emotional battle all the time. Great job I love it BTW I'm glad your feeling alittle better and your still pulling through and making awesome pics.

  I am absolutely in love with this show too. And Brethesen got me hooked on it. I had never heard of it until he told me about it. And I am glad he did because now I am hooked. I haven't seen the whole series yet. Just bits and pieces. The last episode I have seen so far is where Shinji's dad makes him destroy the one Eva that is being piloted by his friend because it has been possessed by an Angel. My fave episode so far is the one where Shinji gets his first "thermal Expansion" when he's listening to Asuka and Misato talking. That one is priceless. This show is great. I love it.
