Drew this a year ago for a Lotura wedding zine and have the go ahead to post finally. Voltron is a space opera, so I thought Iād have Lotor and Allura in wedding clothes with war in the backdrop being in love. It was a massive challenge, but I think I managed the effect I wanted ^^

A BIG step is to give yourself a measurable goal. Some ways to do this could be:-
* I'm copying this picture and I can't stop till I get the picture looking as close to the reference I can
* I need to achieve this specific level of quality that is reachable and you know what it looks like when you achieve it
* I need to draw this many pictures for this project, by this date
Stuff like that can give yourself artificial deadlines and parameters. So Like, Eventide is an example. That portal closes today to give you an artificial deadline. The cost to put it off is trokens and you already started it, so your brain switches on to "Lets do this" mode, and you finish off the campaign. It involves others too which inspires you to finish it for an artificial audience. I got a lot of practice making comics cause you have to have stamina to make a story in comic format. I also built up a lot of stamina in the past by copying photos and art I liked. It helped me build hand eye coordination, and helped a lot with learning some skills.
I don't know how important stamina is to you, but you could try copying pictures if you want to improve your stamina. Like.... 1:1 copying. Not stylized. IT forces you to look for things you never did before. It's good to step outside your comfortzone for learning purposes every now and then IT's up to you if that interests you of course
