hELLO?

The story of these children so far is that Kurkuma was bought very young from an exotic animal stall by the king. She was given to his daughter on her sixth birthday, and they basically grew up together. Kurkuma is very much unaware of the outside world, as is the young princes. Once they are old and wise enough to know how not to get in trouble, they venture into the lands surrounding their city. They love to go  to the floodlands when the sea has receded and bath in the warm shallow waters. one they find a lost Aqrion, who ventured into the wetlands during high tide, and is now stuck. He has nowhere to go, not until the water can draw him back into the sea. The creatures are both hesitant at first, but once they find out they both like water and fish, they become friends on the spot. The princes named him Caribes, for he can never get enough of fish and other meat.

Much later in life, the princes (now queen) decides to build a harbor underneath the city, with stairs leaeding through the mountain into the main city above. This is the decision that started an even richer and more prosperities time for the city and the surrounding land. It also becomes a city where many species will come into contact; Dracostryx, who fly with their riders in and out of the city with deliveries and goods. Aqrion, who have bonded with humans and protect their ships from evildoers and predators. Reos, who search for the city in hopes to find the best ingredients and knowledge to peruse their dream for magic and fortune. And humanoids, in all shapes and sizes, finding refuge within the walls, however fleeting it may be.
