Kirianne grew up in a loving household, with one older brother and both parents.  They were part of a small oceanside fishing community.  Kirianne's fondest memories are of her father telling her stories of heroes and battles of the past, and the rare instances when travelling minstrels would stay at the local inn, performing music and weaving tales during the evenings in exchange for food and drink.  Kiri became fascinated with music and the emotions they could convey.

She discovered her powers during a horrible accident and was chased from her home. shortly thereafter, she found her first portal. For the last 9 years, she has been wandering through portals, playing her lyre and singing at taverns and inns she finds for food and lodging when she needs it, constantly looking for a way to her homeworld.
