In his mission to rebuild his kingdom in preparation for the Drakobitus' attack, King Constantine attempts to make an alliance with a crystalline species just outside his kingdom. To prove his dedication, he attempts to have a child with thier leader, by turning his left arm into crystal, snapping it off, and using the vibrations of the limb to create a child.

Sadly, the child is born still, and unable to move without a magical source of power. The crystalline species agrees to a truce, but don't join his kingdom cause his vibrations are clearly tainted, but he made the effort so they wouldn't actively go against his country.

Constantine lives now with an arm that is made of of a regenerating crystal as a reminder of one of his failures as a king.

You did a wonderful job of this - your best yet, I think. The texture and transparency come across very well, and Constantine is very Blue Steel. XD

  Thank you TuT I imagine it being transparent to some degree, and able to bend a bit of light. I'm glad I have a modern illustration of that arm. I use to avoid the heck out of it XD

  Thank you TuT I'm happy I took the chance with that arm. He could easily be a very bland character without that dimension to him. It really demonstrates is love for is country and family

I love his expression here. It is so hard - which suits the subject matter. I also love the way that the arm is transparent, but you can't see through it clearly. A really difficult effect that you do so well. *chefs kiss*

  Thank you- I hope to figure out how I draw this arm more in the ARPG. I think it's a really cool aspect about him, and it really shaped him a lot a king.I didn't really have a vision for him till I gave him the crystal arm. Before that he was just... a King? The willingness to have a limb turned into something un-natural, snap it off to form a treaty with a crystal race, and all of that to be "for nothing" really carved out a mood for him.

  Yeah- I've really enjoyed playing modern Athena. I haven't written anything of her, and it wasn't till she came out that I realised how damaged she was. She's a really interesting character. Constantine too. I know some things he's done, but I didn't expect him to be such a family man, or open minded.
