#43 Draw or write about your character finding a person or creature lost in the forbidding snows of winter. Does your character help them? Do they just pass by? Do they steal their boots?
Lawliette and Abel first meeting was curious, for both of them. Lawliette lives up in the snowy mountains, so when she met Abel, it was because he had passed out from exhaustion in the middle of a blizzard just in front of her cave.
She helped nurse him to better help and that kicks off their arc. She becomes something of a good friend to him, even if they are from different worlds. They have similar losses in their lives but Lawliette has healed and is the healthier version compared to Abel. If Abel is depression or denial, then Lawliette is acceptance. She sorta helps it all start to really click for him on his journey.

One thing that can be very difficult for artists is human anatomy and posing characters in a way that looks natural. The way the back arm of Lawliette is positioned here looks unnatural. I'm having trouble picturing where on her body that arm is actually coming from. I think if you shifted that arm forward, to grab the icicle closer to Abel instead, that might improve the posing of this piece. If you're looking to improve your understanding of human anatomy, line-of-action.com is a great resource!
I think the way you drew than hands is great! It looks like a nice realistic shape, with enough detail to imply fingers. Keep up the great work!
Second, thank you so much for the suggestion! My anatomy is always a WIP but I'm thrilled to bits to get some ideas on how to improve! I'd never heard of that resource so I'll take a look and studdy up, thank you so much.
Thank you for the compliment as well!! Hands are such a struggle and I've been experimenting with simple shapes to get a clearer message. So I'm really flattered that came across well.
Hope to see more from you over time, this was such a breath of fresh air. <3
I like it here, I intend to be around a lot!
