Clean and Green - Paiko in Jagana Valley

Prompt #2 - Jagana Valley

The Jagani people are deeply in tune with their environment, striving to mesh progress and the natural world in a sustainable way. Ecoagriculture is an important centerpoint to the culture, focused on managing the environment and biodiversity. The sciences are of vital importance to the Jagani, and they are constantly developing new technology to support their people and environment equally.  Show your character in Jagana Valley. Your piece must include your character and a solarpunk style forest environment.

---

Although Paiko's home portal was not a stranger to sunlight, the drakon preferred to stay in the cool shadows of the caves, hugging close to the rock formations that sheltered him from the view of his hunters. He didn't need light within the caves, getting around in the unbroken darkness using sound, smell, and touch.

The darkness was his shelter. He could stay alive much better there. But simply staying alive did not mean he was really living his life.

Now, he's learning to live in the light a little more, and to love the light a little more. The sounds and smells of Jagana Valley were beautiful, but there was a whole new layer of enchantment to be experienced with the eyes, with the dazzling diversity of color and life and technology and light all coming together cleanly and greenly.

This glass-enclosed space of the outdoors-brought-indoors gave Paiko a simultaneous sense of security and freedom that he had never felt together before. To be able to enjoy the freshness of nature and an open view of the sky without feeling like something might swoop down on him from above... perhaps he would ask the Jagani how to put together a little greenhouse garden of his own.

Thanks, Cy! One of my favorite parts of the process is adding light and sparkles at the end ^v^

My sense of lighting direction and shadows is still a work in progress... I can decently pretend to know what I'm doing haha-- and when in doubt, just add extra glitter Wink

Aww he's definitely very spoiled with hugs and cuddles now >v<

Thank you! I used a helpful perspective tool thingy because trying to draw straight lines in the car in rainy traffic is something that will only end in crookedness and tears--

But hey, after overcoming the hill of lineart, the coloring is its own calming activity too ^-^
