Settling Matters

#50 - Home Base

Does your character have a base of operations between portals? A home, even? Draw or write about where your character hangs out during the downtime.

Secondary Home Base: The Adventurer's Guild, Junction of Journeys

Paiko does have a room at the Parchment Imp Inn. He uses it to store things larger than he can carry around, or if he wants some privacy. But staying in a place all by himself distresses him more than being in a crowded place, so he set up his living quarters in the guild hall. At first, he staked out his claim to a humble under-counter nook, where he could be shielded from food fights and other chaos while still catching all the juicy drama. 

It wasn't long before he settled into the Adventurer's Guild as his new "home", spending much of his time there when he's not out and about.

More recently, he can be spotted adding to and rearranging his pillow palace. With the help of his trusty Dream-mage advisor, General Corda Iacobi, and a friendship-treaty with Sir Bucky Deer, this little drakon has established the Fortress of Fluff as a new addition to that corner of the guild hall. A fine sentry brought from a faraway land by Sir Bucky Deer now keeps watch at the entrance to the fortress. The Kingdom of Eden is conveniently close by, and the Realm of Restedsol just upstairs provides more building material, should his empire need some expansion. 

However, this does have some consequences in the long-term. Martus might want to hide the rest of the pillows somewhere safe, lest the upper rooms of the guild be rapidly depleted of them.
