Roiling tales [Latent Element]

"So, where did we leave off last time? Hmm.. ah, yes. If I recall, our noble knight and his magical friend had just entered the lair of the Wyrm, and had found themselves face to face with the towering beast. Of course, for many, such a sight would be their last, but for our adventurous pair---"

--------

For as long as he could remember, Elliot possessed the power to manipulate the form of liquids. At a young age, this took the form of pulling it out of shape, twisting small puddles into the erratic and exciting shapes only a young mind could imagine. As he aged, his imagination grow only sharper, taking on a vividness that transferred to his power set - and he as took over his parents business, becoming the lone owner of the Dream's Crossroad tavern, and becoming subjected to the many tales from the various patrons? It was perhaps unsurprising that all this ended up in his powers becoming a keypart of his storytelling, able to manipulate liquids of all kinds into a style more akin to puppetry, and this is something that he takes great joy in - for, as someone who loves the art of storytelling and entertaining others, what could be better?

Despite this, his manipulation isn't perfect - the water seems to bubble around the edges, small blobs drifting off and around the main form, and whilst he could cause the "puppets" to remain in a single form without focus, if he wanted to shift and manipulate it further then he would need to focus on it, and whilst he had plenty of practice in this small theatre of the mind he still wasn't the most talented with it? There was little in the way of force behind it, and he can't yet put it into any real practical usage - sure, it was useful for clearing up spilts drinks and the likes, but that was really it.

However, now that he's out and about and travelling the world, he hopes to change this - and failing that, he hopes to at least bring some smiles to people who need it, and haven't yet heard his miriad of tales.

Really do love how you did the texture of the water on this one - that and the concept really provide a unique way of using the element in a more passive way.
Question; can he do this with other liquids too? I like the idea of using dyed water to have different participants/characters in the stories.

      Waugh, tysm!!

He definitely can - one of his "party tricks" is using spilt beer on countertops to jokingly scold some of the rowdier cliental, and has probably used it for something similar? but I'm definitely going to have to steal the dyed water idea thank you xoxoxo

I still fecking love this concept. It is not something I really seen with water before? Like with sand or stone I have, but personally not water!
It's a nice lil spin on it.
Plus just look at the lil lad. Good lad

Absolutely adore this concept, adore the shading for this (especially the water), and so happy that you're still going strong!

Really excited to see him use more of his abilities as he adventures, and what he'll make cause of em! :3c

      Perish!!!!
I'm still honestly so happy with how the water turned out - it took awhile to get just right, but am pleased with them,,,

He's very excited to see more of the worlds with his friends, and capture the memories in weird temporary water puppets!! Just you wait!!
