Jankin’s Last Gift

Elia’s talisman was given to her by Jankin, a friend of Finn, who she met after the biggest turning point of her life. Jankin was one of the ones who helped her figure out what she was going to do next.

Jankin handed her the necklace Daystin had given him at their marriage ceremony, many years ago, and wished her well. He turned to his partner, took his hand, and gave Daystin a quiet smile. 

Elia and her brother watched the two of them turn and walk down the mountain trail, hand in hand. 

That was the last anyone ever saw of Daystin and Jankin.
