We won't bite...honest...
Well this is a gift art for Seiyalover. She has recently been in a car accident and I wanted to do something for her to cheer her up. And of all the things she could have requested, she wanted me to draw her and myself as zombies. Now then, I did my best to make us look like we normally look but portraits are so dang hard. >< And this was my first time ever drawing myself. I think I turned out looking pretty cool. Especially with my eyeball hanging down. Pretty sexy huh? Well anyway, Karen, I hope you enjoy it. ^_^
Oh, girl, you even look great undead! How many people can say that? Seriously, though, the shading is great. The whole picture is just deliciously creepy.
Well hun, I must say the feeling is definitely mutual. I still have all of those wonderful pictures you had drawn for me and I never waste a moment to share them with my friends and family. They love your art. Out of all the art I do, I think I like doing realism the most because it challenges me so much. I always like to push myself to see where I can go. Though I do get frustrated alot with it. We are all our own worst critics, are we not? I love you Megs. You really are such a great friend to have. I'll keep in touch on myspace. I promise.
Aww thank you Sarah. I really appreciate that. If there is one style of art I enjoy doing most, it is realism. And the whole idea for the picture is the funniest thing. My friend Karen (in the drawing with me) was in a car accident. And I told her I wanted to draw her something to cheer her up and asked what she wanted me to draw. And if you can imagine, she said she wanted me to draw her and I as zombies. At least she can keep a good sense of humor. Anyway, I am rambling which I find I often do. Thank you again so much for the wonderful comments.
Haha! You like that huh? Thanks love. Well I think I have actually found my genre. I have found that I am getting pretty good with drawing decaying decrepit flesh and things of a "darker" nature. So I will stick to the horror and goth genre for a while. I even look pretty cute with my eyeball hanging down my face. Thanks hun. Love ya lots.
Ooooh...I love zombies. I always crazy stuff like that. You did an awesome portrait of yourself and your friend, hun. I just love the eyeball hanging...a very good characteristic of a zombie. Mwhahaha!! Brains...need brains!!!!
I love zombies too. I am a bit obsessed with death and decay and dismemberment. But the funny thing is that I gte sick to my stomach when I see blood in real life. Even animal blood. Weird, neh? Well, I am glad that everyone seems to be liking this. I have been trying to get into a more dark and sinister frame of mind with my drawings. All my love to you. *hugs*
Why thank you my lovely. I am glad you think so. I still have a few things I could have/should have done differently, but that's all right. And I found that it is alot easier to blend my shading by use of the computer. I am such a cheat. I want to chew on my eyeball so all the eyeball juice and guts squirt out everywhere. Much like a Super Soaker! All my love to you sweetheart. *hugs and kisseys*
Blending with the computer isn't cheating, it's just a different method, ducky. It can help when adding more contrast, too. I don't use it because... well... I don't really know why, actually. Force of habit?
You chew that eyeball... But then you won't be able to watch where you're going quite so effectively.
That is true my dear. But, then I'd really be able to watch what I eat. Well, I have found it so much easier to blend my shades more effectively with the aid of the computer. So hopefully I can make some mahvelous work. I love you muchly. I hope your poor little hands are doing well. *hugs*
Aww, why thank you. And y'know, my eyeball is really dangling down at the side of my face like that. And sometimes I like to chew on it. It is much like licorice. Well tell your friend thank you for me as well. There will probably be alot more zombie/decaying innocent people pics coming up from me. I am a bit obsessed. >< *hugs*
Why thank you m'dear. I think I have the best time drawing zombies. Especially drawing ones that look like myself. I am completely obsessed with the whole death/rotting flesh/zombie genre and it is about time I started doing some art involving it. I'm glad you like it.That makes all the rotting worth it. *hugs* Oh you guys should try to find some kind of hugging smiley somewhere. That would be hella cool.
