Eye in the Desert

Ooh, strange, right? This is a manipulation of a painting I did in one of my color theory courses last semester. I really like the original, but as I was playing around with it, I gave it the ole' speherical treatment, and thought it looked so cool! :D

The name of the project was 'Skyland'; we were to create (using those horizontal lines) land and sky merging together. We could use whatever color scheme we saw fit, and could do any type of land meets sky type thing. I went with a kind of southwestern theme, as I like really warm colors. Tell me what you think!

It looks as though you're looking into a glass ball and see everything distorted. I really like the colors, it looks like a mirage.Heart
