Thank you, I was hoping someone would like it.

Thank you for saying so. Did I reply to this already? Oh well, if I did thank you again.
      • Mar 23, 2005
yes, you did but it's all good. I also wanted to mention that you can tell you spent a long time on that girl's armor, it really looks shiny and realiztic! ;-)

I like this pic too. And love the tats

I'm glad you like the tattoo. I wasn't sure if I did it correctly.

AHHHH! He is one scary-ass looking dude. He looks like he needs a hug... If I had to fight him I would be like, okay I'll give you whatever you want...just don't hurt me...

Anyway, this is really cool. He looks extremely evil, the shading is great, and I especially like his hand and sword...great job!

Thank you for the great comment and he probably does need a hug.

He's pretty scary, Dennis. The sort of thing nightmares are made of. I love the 3-dimensional aspect of it. It looks like he wants to jump out and slit your throat. Fantastic!

Thank you, I had originaly designed him with hair but he didn't quite look as menacing for some reason with long hair.
      • May 27, 2005
Yes, he's alot more fearsome with his bald head. He reminds me a little of Bakah from the Mortal Combat games. Only, Therin has his volume turned way, way up!
        • May 28, 2005
Hehehehehe...Thanks Kristy, i'll have to check out Bakah. which MK game is he in?
          • May 28, 2005
Um, all of them, I think. He's in the most recent one. I think it's called Mortal Kombat Deception or Deadly Alliance or something. I don't really remember the name, actually. My son played it most of the time. I think he's in all of them. But don't quote me on that. *smiles*
            • May 28, 2005
              I'll check and see, thanks.
  • May 27, 2005
Stupid me... I meant Barakah from MK. Such is the life of me. I can be so scatter-brained sometimes. Just thought I'd correct myself before people started pelting me with stones saying," It's Barakah, you idiot!" *smiles*

      Lloyd's gallery rules #115
"There willbe no stoning in my gallery!"
      • May 28, 2005
Thank you for posting that rule. I think it would hurt a bit. lol
  • May 28, 2005
    eeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkk. He's just so scary!
    • May 28, 2005
If he's scary then I did this one correctly, thank you for the compliment.
      • May 28, 2005
*laughs* (my aunt taught me that) I like that picture. It's very cool. I like the tattoo on his face.
        • May 29, 2005
Thanks, the idea of the tattoo was one of the reasons I drew this one.

    *Insane smile*

Now, now... Dennis, to what class does this villain belong to?

Grreat pic again! two Thumbs Up up, way up, until they're chop off...
    • Jun 6, 2005
Thank you, I was realy trying to make this guy look evil and dangerous.
  • Jul 8, 2005
This guys is scary...now I wouldn't want to wake up with him in my face! i love the detail!! Nicely done Dennis....as always Smile
    • Jul 8, 2005
Thank you very much. The details I think is what I really try to concentrate on.
      • Jul 8, 2005
Yup no kidding you have to make it look real!! But I like how you make it look so good! Very good job ;)!
  • May 25, 2006
Ohhh thats nifty!! Suggestion: not sure if you want to mess with it now, but I think it you added a little darker contrast into his hand then on the left side, between the cape and him, it would give it stronger presence
    • May 25, 2006
      Hmmmmmm...
I see what you mean. That's a good idea and I wish I could of had it sooner especialy when I was drawing it.
      Oh well, live and learn.

Done well. I like the detail on the armour, fist and the sword. The expression on his face is effective and barbaric, and it's not hard to tell he's a bad guy.
My little bit of constructive criticism: the tattoo on his face may be a little bit overpowering to the rest of the picture. You find yourself more drawn towards that and miss out on the finer details. To counter this, I'd make the main outlines (armour, hands, sword) thicker or darker. The way they are at the moment, everything almost seems to be blending together because the lines are quite light, almost faded.
    Great work Smile

Thank you, I remember drawing this one and thinking the tattoo was way too dark and that I had gone too far when I tried to make the tattoo the focus point.
