Got this done last night. Now I'm onto the pen detailing, and then comes the colour sketch for envy!
As usual, symbolic background suggestions welcome. As a note, though, I'm not doing room settings, only symbolism settings. Otherwise my sins won't match each other. :)
*grin* I AM special. No, really... The kind of art supplies I want right now you don't seel even from your catalogue (I don't think) I will have to head to The Art Store for them.
-Need-? Nothing. WANT, on the other hand... I was thinking illustration board or matt board. But I won't be able to get those for a while. I also have to go get some acrylic brushes... really small ones. I know you have those, but it seems silly to put an order in for one thing.

Actually Yellow Roses symbolize jealousy and infidelity in european and north american culture as do marigolds and ferns, and the Fofo (another yellow petaled plant) symbolizes jealousy in West African culture... Both Yellow and green are colours that are supposed to symbolize jealousy, and white or green snakes are jealousy too... (Yaay random knowledge? )
Yeah, it's hard to find reference for the Fofo. All I can find is the graphic art of one... sorry! Mebbe you should go for the ferns and marigolds then, so as not to be too rosey? Altho roses do be pretty, ferns might be ok in a swampy sort of setting (I like that idea alot too!)
I figured out the scientific name and went from there - I've got a bit of fofo now. I think I'll be adding in vines and things as well, as per Arkillian's suggestion. Combinations are good!
Again, luv - you're thinking of a room. I don't want ANY of my sins to be in rooms. I want only symbollic background so that I can put them under an oval matting.
The unsaturated hues in the background, though - that I might play around with. She herself (and the snake) will be different shades of green (except her skin, of course).
Thanks for the suggestion, though! i'm sorry it won't work for the series, as it's a cool idea.
Sorry- I wasn't thinking anything acticulated, but if that's the case, then silhoete drapey trees in front of grey swampy forest? Hmmmmm I'm within the ball park even if I didn't kick the goal anyways...
Well, as soon as you said snake, I thought drapy climbing, mossy type plants- ones that strangle trees to death to survive. They're very green, and angery plants with a distinctive shape. Swamp I think will fit
Your submission is posted to our site but it hasn't yet been added to an Art RPG queue for point counting, approval, and/or reward redemption. Submit it to the queue to get your rewards.
love the bustle...did i spell that right? cant wait to see it coloured. Im such a good help...
Thank, luv. I'm glad you're liking it so far. If all goes well, I'll be able to do some more on it tomorrow.
Also - would you like to go to the cinema tomorrow night with Jon and I? Ben can come too.
(Yaay random knowledge? )
I'll look some up and perhaps get some progress done. Thanks Mary-Ann!

So far all I've got are snakes and the colour green. :p
