Seto Kaiba

Posted May 18, 2005, 6:14:29 PM UTC
I did this pic from the Duelist of the Roses game. This was done before I started adding color to my drawings. I prefer to call Seto Lord Anime79! LOL!

Oh you said "exquisite" baby. You are so very distinguished. Smile I am glad you came to leave me comments on my drawings. So when are you going to let me draw you naked? Wink Heehee love ya sexy bitch! Mwah!

wow, really nice job. I like how much detail you put into his outfit!
    • May 3, 2006, 10:29:41 AM UTC
Aww, thank you so much. Smile Well this was one of the very first anime drawings I have ever done. Which explains why there is a bunch of stuff that isn't quite "right" with it. And alot that is out of proportion. Hos Blue Eyes armor was a pain to draw, but it turned out pretty okay. Thanks again. *hugs*

he is absolutely beautiful! some con-crit tho, i don't know if it's just me or if his fingers holding the card are too long or not. i'm not too familiar with the YGO style. great job tho! Bounce

*sigh* You are absolutely right in the fact that they do look long. However, they are supposed to be a little closer to us which would make them a bit bigger. Plus this one was done so long ago when I didn't quite have the whole "depth" concept down yet. Laughing I absolutely LOVE the con-crit though. It helps me find all the "little things" and fix them to turn my pics into something great. I really do appreciate it. It means more than someone just saying"it looks good. Good job." You know what I mean? It is the helpful advice that I get from others that help me become the best that I can be. I think that is actually what all artists strive for. ^_^ Well, now that I have talked your ear off, thank you SO VERY MUCH for the kind review. It is very appreciated. ^^

*head falls off in amazment and lands in the toilet* Bloody hell! Now look what you've done... No, don't flush it! Swine!! You're black and white pencil drawings are brilliant, you're shading is shuper duper!... don't suppose you've got a plunger have you...?
    • Aug 15, 2005, 9:42:10 AM UTC
Why shank you. And why didn't you tel me BEFORE I flushed it?! Now I have a huge mess to clean up. Someone get me some Drano! But in seriousness, thank you for the warm and somewhat insane review. My pencil is my magic wand. The pencil always chooses the user. It's not always clear why. No wait... that's Harry Potter. Err...damn.
      • Aug 16, 2005, 1:30:02 AM UTC
Hactually, don't worry about me, I quite like it down here... You wouldn't imagine some of the sights you get to see... you've just gotta remember to keep your mouth shut...
        • Aug 16, 2005, 9:26:16 AM UTC
EeeeWWw! That is so gross! Laughing I think I will let you be the one to examine things. Sound good? >_<
          • Aug 17, 2005, 3:27:52 AM UTC
Gross? you're telling me... you didn't see who just walked in... oh, have mercy, Noooooo!! Why did you eat that 4th curry last night? Aaaaaarrgh!!
            • Aug 17, 2005, 7:32:12 PM UTC
Oh no! Somebody help Andy quick! No volunteers? Sorry Andy. I guess that Knight looks pretty good right about now, eh? Too bad somebody had to break his legs. Well, I wish you the best of luck my dear. *walks away whistling*
              • Aug 18, 2005, 12:36:00 AM UTC
I would reply, but it's difficult to talk with your mouth full...
                • Aug 18, 2005, 8:36:52 AM UTC
Indeed, Andy...indeed...I think there is nothing more to say...(tear, cry, sob)

Aww, thank you so much. This one almost ended up in the trash. Laughing I got so mad at my pencil when I was trying to shade it all in. It took me a couple of days to complete for the simple fact that I kept having to take a break from it. Laughing I am so glad that you enjoy it, luv. I am going to try to draw more of Seto because I love him so much. ^_^ Thank you for your kind review, my dear.
  • Jun 14, 2005, 11:03:43 AM UTC

Aww, thank you. This picture took a very long time to complete. It was alot of detail. Especially the blue-eyes white dragon armor he's wearing. I did this for my son. He loves Yu-gi-oh. Oh and maybe a little for me. I love Seto Kaiba. *smiles*

  • May 27, 2005, 12:19:59 PM UTC
    WOW!
    • May 27, 2005, 12:29:34 PM UTC
I'm glad you liked this one. He's my husband... lol! This one took me FOREVER to finish. There were so many details that I had to do, but, I liked it. My fave part of this one is his Blue Eyes White Dragon armor. It was really difficult to shade it to make it look like metal. Thank you so much for your comments.
      • May 27, 2005, 12:32:51 PM UTC
Metal can be so tricky, huh? You did such an excellent job. It looks totally solid. You render your husband well! LOL
        • May 27, 2005, 12:34:52 PM UTC
Well, thank you. Thank you very much. *holds head up high* You are too kind. Metal sucks to draw. Luckily, I found the easy way to do it when I made this.
          • May 27, 2005, 12:38:02 PM UTC
Really? There's an easy way? Spill, spill, spill!
            • May 27, 2005, 12:46:42 PM UTC
Okay, Okay! Hee, Hee, Hee. The trick is in the shading. First figure out where your "light" on the picture is coming from. Imagine where the light would be shining... those parts would be the whitest because they're closest to the light. Of course, the farther away from the light, the darker the shading. For example... on his collar, the light was hitting it head on so it's the brightest there in the front. Then as you go around towards the back of the collar, the shading gets darker. The trick with drawing something metal is that it's supposed to be shiny. So leaving alot of it bright will give off the illusion that it really sparkles. Whew! * wipes sweat from forehead*
