Wow....it's been SO long since I've put art up here...That's probably because I've been busy with other things...And, though I'm a girl, I suck at multi-tasking...But I'm hoping that'll change...
'nyways, the little man near the bottom is a character of mine; he's THE Jack Frost, but on Earth he goes by the name of Toshiyo "James" Ozumaki. He's Japanese, obviously...
Since he's Jack Frost, he can do lots of icey things, such as summon that great brute you see behind him; the creature aforementioned is named Fukushimo; literally translating into "blow frost".
LOTS of work got put into this, so hopefully you all like it as much as I do. ^^'
Very sharp, angular art. Nice how the beastie appears to be summoned directly from the ice below, and looks as if he's made entirely of stalagtites (stalagmites?). Manga influenced, which is nice. Has a Final Fantasy Esper feel.
The heavy lineart also makes Fukushimo look sharp, which in the case of a walking ice monster would be true. I just hope he doesn't drop an icicle on poor Toshiyo Ozumaki's head!
Oh my gosh, the details are amazing! <3 I love the dull colors and high contrast between highlight and shadows--it does a lovely job of giving it that real icy feel. I do think, unless dark-ish was your intent, that the creature's outlines could have been a bit less dark. *shrug* It's nice the way it is, the extreme shadows just make it look a bit metallic in some parts.
Thank you for letting me know that it looked kinda metallic. Hehehe, I had a lot of trouble getting it to look semi-decent ^^' At first it looked like pure diamond, then it looked to smooth, then I came upon what you see now.
Thanks again! I'll be sure to see if I can fix that somehow...^_^
It's not strongly metallic-looking. It's more in the detail of the lineart than the color itself. (It's like drawings with excessively detailed white angel wings--they start to look dark when the lineart's in excess.) *shrug* ^^; I like it as it is~ I just didn't want to leave one of those generic "Nice pic! [emoticon]" comments. You're welcome. <3

I love the coloring you did for Fukushimo - really rockin'!
Thanks!
Thanks again! I'll be sure to see if I can fix that somehow...^_^
You're welcome. <3
I'll see what I can do about the lineart, and thanks again!
