I am not sure what half Ling here means but I couldnt put him in the existing species so halfling worked.

Firiel We tend to play fast and loose with species here, most anything is fine as long as it isn't closed or copywritten by somebody else. I was just a little surprised because in all contexts I have come across previously, "halfling" is basically a hobbit. The half referring to being half the usual height not to be half one thing and half another, you see. Which, this dude obviously is not.
