OK - you made the spider look oddly cute and sad in this and it's throwing me off, dude. Lovely work - great story, and you got that profile going!

It still feels a bit flat to me, but I think that might be a shading thing at this point... maybe not enough depth. Hopefully the more I do it, the better it'll get!
