I have don't watch/read Inu Yasha, but I can relate to your experience.

I've come across horrible fan fics that ignore the original 'feel' and role of a character just to amuse themselves. Fine and good...but don't think everyone is gonna buy it.

Thanks for explaining things. So the term 'canon' means the original universe? What exactly does 'shipper' mean? I've steared clear of the fan fic world but I'm still curious about the inner workings of it all...

The picture here IS pretty funny. 'Akshun' Laughing

Akshun! I love that term, too - had me laughing my ass off the first time I read that comment (used with my friend's consent, of course; he was just thrilled something he said inspired something like this). Wink

The term 'shippers' refers to those who support any particular pairing in any given genre. A cracked shipper (which is the term I should have used in this case) are those who support pairings that do not exist in the canon (official) universe (like Sess/Kago, Inu/Miroku, Naraku/Kikyou, etc).

I think I got that right, anyway. Smile
