Oh jeez, this is SO true. I hate it when people try and pair up the most vulgar pairings, it totally screws up the atmosphere of the entire series. 
And Fanfics are the source off all of the flames. Sess/Kags and Sess/Rin by far are the most vulgar pairings in the entire Inuyasha series, as well as Sess/San. It really ticks me off when some stupid Fan of Sess/Kags or Inu/Kik comes along and tries to tell me that I'm wrong about what I like.
Sesshomaru belongs with Kagura, Rin should be with Kohaku, Kagome is with Inuyasha, Sango is with Miroku, Inutaisho is with Izayoi or Sess Mom, and so on. People need to get that through there thick skulls. ^-^ You did great on this.
