Hey, pretty nifty. ^_^ A soul-guide - that's a lot of power, but still a very interesting and fairly specialized power to have. I think I can buy it. Nice color scheme, cool torc. Is the red symbolic or aesthetic, or a bit of both? Can't help thinking "blood red" when faced with a red jewel on, essentially, a god of death.

I added the red so it can have a "pop" to it, didn't really think about being symbolic XD so... sure? More like aesthetic maybe. I'm glad you're ok with the alicorn. I noticed sometimes the reason people don't like alicorns is because they don't have a back-story

I think backstory does help, yeah. I think part of the problem people have is kind of like - alicorns are really rare in the show, and having everybody making new ones can seem like either taking away some of the special-ness by making them more common, or like people are trying to make their character more special than anybody else's? But with backstory and characterization sometimes people who would normally be all like "oh, you just have to be the special snowflake," can be like "maybe it's ok this time because this is kind of a cool idea." But I don't think it's bad even if somebody does just want to have a character who is Powerful and Special - fandom is a big party dedicated to what people like in the show, a playground where everybody has their favorite toy, and if your favorite toys happen to be the powerful kind with wings and horns, then why should that be a problem for the folks playing with toys with just wings or just horns? There's still plenty of room for them to have fun, too.
