The blue and black combo is nice, especially with that bit of white in there. Coloring black can be a pain, I know that from experience! It's difficult to get across how dark the color is without making it difficult to see what the thing that has been color is meant to be. I get around this by not using the fullest value of black where I can- it feels a bit like things are just dark grey at first, but people will still see it as black, and then they'll also be able to see the details on the character.
