"To fix this, adding more consistency to the use of lines would go far. For example, I use distinct lines in my art as well, but I leave it for foreground elements and characters, having it fade out as things become farther away. That certainly isn't the only way to do so, there are many creative uses for lines in art."

Oh I completely forgot to do that for this piece. I was rushing in an attempt to upload more things for my Dieviantart. As a result I sorta cut a few corners to make this in time. As for the line art I was trying to draw the focus to Ronald as -he isn`t the brightest shades so as a result I try to make him stand out using line-art.

Thank you for giving me this constructive criticism. I will gladly apply these to my art as a way to improve. Again thank you!

That's a mood! It's easy to miss details when you're taking your time, so it's almost inevitable when you're trying to apply speed. I do see what you were going for with the lines now that you mention that, but I feel his distinct patterns and the glowing red portions already draw the eye- even though the polar aqrion is paler, Ronald was what had most of my attention. Playing up the glowing parts and his inquisitive eyes work very well towards those ends, so I wouldn't worry about him getting overlooked Smile
