Queen of Verduran kingdom and head of House Aspera. Astra is everything her House stands for: intelligent, kind, powerful. She's great at strategizing, as one of House Aspera would be expected to be, but her true strength relies on her emotional intelligence and her exceptional education at etiquette and court arts ( such as singing and playing music ).

Because she was second in line for head of house, and wasn't meant to marry into the throne, Astra spent most of her younger years enjoying the social seasons and the kingdom's festivals, as well as escaping nobility to go to the grounding environment of the towns and farms of the kingdom. Because of her sister's passing, though, Astra was forced to replace her as Jadis's future queen— something she was utterly unhappy with, and quite vocal about ( among nobles, at least ). She soon learned that Jadis was nothing like the cold-blooded, war-seeking brute she thought, and the pair started warming up to each other after that.

Queen Astra is Queen Jadis's emotional intelligence, and the pair makes a perfect match for the kingdom.
