A once paradise of trade and philosophy turn wasteland in a catastrophic eruption a millennia ago that almost drove the entire continent to extinction. Today Edge of the World still remains the dreaded wasteland, a twisted scar among the land, but recent explorations have discovered valuable minerals and materials found nowhere else in Wyvera.

Anyone trying to acquire said materials and minerals however have to contend with the dangers of the lands. Hidden lava pools, sulphur clouds, sudden thermals that drive anyone flying into the ground, and that's not including the Whirlpool. A roaring lake, big as the City of Sol, containing a whirlpool of boiling sulphurous, toxic water, mixed with sharp volcanic glass and magmatic gasses. Sailing through the lake will result in ships being thrown out of the lake in pieces and flying over is a death sentence.

No one knows why or how it's still active after a millennium, but it's rumoured to be the edge of the world into the mantle itself.
