Bio: Starting out her life as a pretty normal person, Veronica lived with her single, periodically drunken father until he booted her out during highschool. The initiating incident? The accidental death of her abusive boyfriend under mysterious circumstances. Of course the two were close, so when Veronica insisted that she didn't know what happened, well... it ended out in a fight that she summarily lost. 

Alone without friends or anyone to turn to, the teenager only found out she could talk to spiders during this time of need, and, after a certain amount of disbelief, they became her best friends and steadfast companions. They took care of and protected each other through several hard-fought years. Not one to give up, she hardened her heart, becoming a somewhat bitchy, bitter woman who didn't take anyone's nonsense. She didn't have time for that. So she keeps most people at arm's distance.

Only... there's a problem.

She doesn't remember those years. No details. The face of her father, her boyfriend, any of her classmates... They're all concepts and fuzzy colors.

What she does remember is waking up at the edge of the universe, face-to-face with another human being who seemed... too sharp. Too real. 

The being told Veronica she created her... that she was now putting her in charge of the Once-Dead Hotel, where unused characters could come to live again, if only for a little while. 

More years passed... and while the hotel thrived for a few years, it grew silent and empty... and Veronica was alone again. The so-called 'creator' didn't even so much as glance at her.

But today, something interesting happened... The first interesting thing in a very long time.
