Come On

I wanted to pass the time and decided to work with pencils, since I don't get the opportunity as much as I'd like.

Yet again you show that I forgot you work in pencil as well. The lines are so clean it didn't look like pencil.

Wow, thank you very much! I haven't worked in pencil aside from roughs and layouts for a while, so I thought I needed to get back to it and keep up my skills. I'm very happy with Manga Studio/Clip Studio Paint feeling like working with actual physical pencils, so I'm really happy with how it came out and very grateful for your kind words. I love pencils. I need to work in them more. Smile

It always good to work in a media that most artist start out drawing in.

Yeah, I think so too! And pencils are so versatile, so flexible...I especially love how you can use just one pencil of one type and draw forth so many different lines, so much different shading, so many different things in general, just from that one pencil alone.

I feel like, in a way, they represent one of the most perfect media for artists, being so singularly versatile. And really, pencils form the foundation of virtually everything I do, even if it's just by me doing a rough, or layouts, or a sketch.

Totally. I use a mechanical pencil 0.5 mm all the time and it's range is all over the place when need be.
